Qualifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
• One year of satisfactory United States legal experience after admission to any state bar (or six months as an Agency Attorney Interne).
• Experience in negotiation, grievances, and labor relations is expected.

Responsibilities

• Advise managers on contracts, rules, and regulations and attend meetings.
• Serve as liaison with labor unions and conduct grievance conferences.
• Represent the agency at hearings and trials and draft determinations.
• Investigate labor-related matters and respond to union grievances.
• Collaborate with counsel on litigation matters with union implications.
