Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license in state or eligible; active licensure required.
• CPR certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA/ARC) within 90 days.
• C-EFM certification required within 12 months for Perinatal nurses.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to department goals and adheres to policies and standards.
• Collects and analyzes patient information across physical, psychological, socio-cultural, economic, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Provides autonomous, relationship-based nursing care using the nursing process with focus on patient experience.
• Identifies complex problems, plans interventions and communicates with interdisciplinary team.
• Incorporates evidence-based practice and research to improve quality and safety.
• Acts as patient advocate and communicates clinical concerns to the team in a timely manner.
• Keeps practice within legal boundaries; understands ethical principles and seeks support as needed.
• Plans care with short and long-term goals and uses teaching resources to meet patient needs.
• Communicates patient information clearly in verbal and written format.
• Maintains safe environment and addresses safety issues using HRO principles.
• Demonstrates leadership and delegates tasks according to scope of practice.
• Evaluates patient response and revises nursing interventions as needed.
• Plans discharge needs with the interdisciplinary team.
