Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a professional RN to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care from admission through discharge. You will collaborate with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary team to deliver theory-based, patient-centered care and ensure quality, safety, and optimal outcomes.

The role requires 1–2 years of RN experience, ADN with BSN via enrollment plan, and active state licensure with CPR/NRP/EFM certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• BSN preferred; if prepared at ADN level, enroll in BSN within 12 months of hire and complete within 4 years.
• 1–2 years RN experience required.
• RN license in state or compact state; CPR/BLS/NRP within 90 days; EFM certification required within 12–15 months depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and implement nursing care from admission to discharge.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team and communicate clearly with patients and families.
• Leverage evidence-based practice to improve quality and safety.
• Identify patient needs and discharge planning in collaboration with team.
• Maintain safe, therapeutic environment and advocate for patients.
