Job summary

Advocate Health Care in partnership with Wake Forest University Health Sciences seeks a laboratory professional to support translational neuroscience research. The role emphasizes planning, technique development, and collaboration with principal investigators on clinical/research projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological and/or Physical Sciences with four years of related chemical/research experience.
• Master's degree in Biology or related Physical Science with two years of laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement clinical/research projects with the principal investigator.
• Develop control procedures for test standardization.
• Develop experimental techniques for specimen analyses used in complex laboratory procedures.
• Review journals and literature to verify information for design of procedures.
• Prepare reports and manuscripts for publication with the PI.
• Supervise and coordinate laboratory operations and staffing.
• Maintain facilities and equipment supplies.
• Establish laboratory work procedures, methods, and policies.
• Interview technical applicants and assist with hiring actions.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
