Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Minimum of three years in a clinical laboratory.
• MT/MLS/MLT ASCP or AMT certification required.
• Ability to read/write and to learn/use computer software.
• Experience obtaining lab specimens from all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate personnel, equipment, resources, and testing procedures in the lab.
• Compile QA statistics and attend department meetings.
• Supervise training and regulatory compliance (CAP and Joint Commission).
• Update procedures as regulations change and perform competency assessments.
• Provide technical support to physicians and evaluate new lab technology.
• Assigned duties as directed by the Laboratory Director.
