Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Laboratory Quality & Safety Program Coordinator to support a culture of safety in the department. Under supervision, you will perform direct rounding in laboratories, track data and trends, and help develop recommendations to improve employee and patient safety.

You will also oversee quality evaluations to ensure CAP and CLIA compliance and coordinate accreditation activities for inpatient and outpatient lab operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of program management or healthcare experience.
• Experience with CAP accreditation and regulatory standards.
• Ability to perform direct rounding in laboratories.
• Strong data tracking and trend analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct rounding in five labs to include.
• Tracking data/trends to improve employee and patient quality.
• Assist in monitoring, coordination and implementation of CAP regulatory standards.
• Maintain regulatory compliance for accreditation and inspections across lab operations.
