Job summary

Natera is seeking a Senior Director of Laboratory Operations in California to lead clinical and technical laboratory functions, ensuring quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will oversee production, equipment and reagent qualification, and staff development while driving process improvements and new product launches.

Qualifications

• BS/BA (or equivalent) in a biological science, similar field of study, or equivalent. MS is preferred.
• California licensed Clinical Lab Scientist or CGMBS preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in laboratory administration or related field.
• 5+ years of management & leadership experience
• 5+ years of high-complexity-testing, high volume lab operations

Responsibilities

• Develop policies, procedures, and performance standards to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Oversee day-to-day production, equipment qualification, and training in the laboratory.
• Lead troubleshooting teams to address urgent issues and maintain service quality.
• Ensure resources, personnel, equipment, and inventory meet demand and projections.
• Lead process improvements and implement new product launches.
• Organize training programs for lab and support staff.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on short- and long-term strategy.
