Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA seeks a Sr Associate IS Analyst to support laboratory benchtop platforms and instrument software from software refreshes to ongoing system availability.

You will work with researchers and IS teams to deploy lab technology, maintain systems, and ensure data protection. This role partners with the Benchtop Product Team across DEV/TEST/PROD, balancing scientific needs with security and enterprise priorities.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree with 2+ years in Infrastructure, IT, or related field, or advanced degree with relevant experience.
• Strong customer focus and ability to manage support requests.
• Experience with networking, DNS, firewalls, security, patching, AWS, and VMware.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Ability to define infrastructure requirements and assess vendor recommendations.
• Experience scripting to automate server tasks.
• Leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Benchtop Product Team to manage lifecycle of instrument software and laboratory computing platforms.
• Resolve support requests involving laboratory computers, software, Windows upgrades, and system troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with vendors for software, drivers, patches, and packages.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to build DEV/TEST/PROD environments in cloud and on-premises.
• Test updates, develop migration strategies, and support benchtop platforms.
• Create and maintain SOPs for lifecycle processes.
• Manage ServiceNow activities and asset lifecycle tasks.
• Collaborate with business partners to develop practical, innovative solutions.
