Job summary

Indigo is seeking an experienced L2 Field Engineer to lead field deployment and maintenance across customer sites. You will resolve complex issues, mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in technical performance, while maintaining high service standards.

The role is primarily home-based with on-call rotation and travel as required. You will coordinate with Project Managers and customers, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and deliver documentation within

Qualifications

• Proven experience building telecoms infrastructure from plans to quality standards.
• Strong background in network commissioning, testing and fault finding with leadership ability.
• Hands-on experience across transmission systems, cabling, IP WAN/LAN and voice/data services.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line maintenance, installation and commissioning support across Indigo’s customer base.
• Respond to interventions and faults with ownership through to resolution while meeting SLAs.
• Perform fault finding and diagnostics using appropriate test equipment and procedures such as OTDR, Ethernet, and OSA testing.
• Install and commission telecoms infrastructure including rack and stack, cabling, termination, labelling and power connections.
• Complete testing and measurement of cable and fibre runs and support network commissioning across complex technologies.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers through field supervision, coaching and mentoring.
• Lead designated projects as Lead Engineer, coordinating field activities and supporting Project Managers.
• Define and audit field installation quality standards and manage rectification and continuous improvement.
