Job summary

Indigo seeks an experienced L2 Field Engineer to drive field deployment and maintenance of telecoms infrastructure. You will lead, mentor, and coordinate technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery, resolving complex issues while performing hands-on installation, testing and commissioning in diverse environments.

The role combines field and home-based work with on-call duty, requiring flexibility and strong stakeholder communication to maintain SLAs and project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line maintenance, installation and commissioning support across Indigo's customer base.
• Respond to interventions and faults, own through to resolution and meet SLAs/KPIs.
• Carry out fault finding and diagnosis using OTDR, Ethernet and OSA testing as required.
• Install and commission telecoms infrastructure including rack and stack, cabling, testing and connectivity.
• Lead designated projects as Lead Engineer and coordinate field activities.
• Define and audit field installation quality standards and improvements.
