Job summary

Indigo is seeking a L1 Field Engineer to deliver field-based installation, maintenance and smart hands support across customer environments. You will work primarily from home with frequent site visits and be part of a 24/7 on-call rota, ensuring safety and high standards.

You will install and test telecoms and network infrastructure, troubleshoot faults, coordinate with third-party contractors and document activities to meet SLAs and KPIs. Travel is required across customer sites in the region.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to document field activities clearly and accurately.
• Familiarity with health, safety and quality standards in fieldwork.
• Experience with telecoms and network infrastructure in customer premises.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation, maintenance and smart hands support across Indigo's customer environments.
• Respond to faults and service requests, meeting SLAs and KPIs.
• Install, rack, stack, cable, label and test telecoms and network infrastructure.
• Install and maintain fibre optic, copper and power cabling; perform fibre testing.
• Support installations involving grounding and power cabling per standards.
• Coordinate and oversee third-party contractors on site.
• Produce accurate documentation and job reports within timelines.
• Liaise with customers and colleagues to ensure successful delivery of field activities.
