Job summary

Essex Property Trust, Inc. is seeking a Principal Trainer, Learning & Development to deliver engaging training in-person and virtually at the Irvine Regional Office. This senior role partners with business leaders and L&D colleagues to translate complex information into practical learning.

Responsibilities include facilitating sessions, adjusting pace, and coaching others in facilitation. This role requires travel to Essex locations up to 20% and offers competitive salaries and benefits,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years in Learning & Development or corporate training.
• Proven ability to deliver training in person and live virtual environments.
• Advanced facilitation and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with LMS tools and eLearning authoring.
• Fluent in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate in-person and live virtual learning for associates across functions.
• Adapt delivery, pace, activities, and examples to the audience while managing group dynamics.
• Use discussions, scenarios, role plays, demonstrations, and breakout sessions to support engagement.
• Build subject matter knowledge and translate complex information into practical learning with subject matter experts.
• Partner with L&D colleagues to improve clarity, engagement, and delivery.
