Job summary

AT&T is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design, build, and enhance cloud-native platform capabilities leveraging Kubernetes-based platforms (AKS). You will partner with developers, platform engineers, and security teams to reduce delivery friction and drive standardization across containerized environments.

Lead the development of CI/CD pipelines, Helm charts, and automation tools, while ensuring security, reliability, and observability across enterprise deployments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing enterprise software in Java.
• Advanced Bash scripting, Linux OS internals & the boot chain.
• Hands-on experience building and supporting Kubernetes environments (AKS).
• Strong experience with Helm packaging and Kubernetes deployment processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support container-based platform solutions to improve developer productivity and accelerate software delivery.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes platform capabilities, reusable deployment patterns, and automation frameworks.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines that enable secure, scalable deployment.
• Create and maintain Helm charts, deployment templates, and platform automation tools.
• Collaborate with application teams to improve onboarding, self-service capabilities, and adoption of containerized solutions.
