AT&T seeks a Principal Software Engineer to design and scale cloud-native platform capabilities on Kubernetes (AKS). You will collaborate with developers, security, and architecture teams to reduce delivery friction and promote standardization across containerized environments.

The role emphasizes building reusable deployment patterns, Helm charts, and automation to accelerate enterprise software delivery while upholding security and compliance in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing enterprise software using Java.
• Advanced Bash scripting and Linux internals knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes platforms and AKS.
• Proficient with Helm and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in container security and DevOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance cloud-native platform capabilities with Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for secure, scalable deployments.
• Create Helm charts, deployment templates, and automation tools.
• Improve onboarding, self-service capabilities, and adoption of containerized solutions.
• Implement security practices across containerized environments and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize platform engineering practices.
