AT&T is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design and scale cloud-native platform capabilities on Kubernetes (AKS). You will collaborate with developers, security, and architecture teams to reduce delivery friction and standardize containerized workflows.

The role emphasizes building automation, Helm-based deployments, and robust CI/CD pipelines, while advancing platform modernization and developer productivity across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise Java software development experience.
• Strong Linux and containerization knowledge with CI/CD.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience, preferably AKS.
• Experience with Helm charts and deployment templates.
• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation expertise.
• Ability to collaborate across security, architecture, and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance cloud-native platform capabilities on Kubernetes.
• Develop reusable deployment patterns and automation frameworks.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure, scalable deployments.
• Produce Helm charts, deployment templates, and tooling for platform teams.
• Partner with dev teams to improve onboarding and self-service capabilities.
• Apply security best practices across containers and environments.
• Support platform reliability, performance, and velocity initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and implement long-term improvements.
• Evaluate emerging tech and contribute to platform modernization.
