Job summary

AT&T is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design, build and scale cloud-native platform capabilities on Kubernetes-based platforms (AKS). You will partner with developers, platform engineers, security, and architecture to reduce delivery friction and standardize containerized environments.

You will lead efforts across design and automation of CI/CD pipelines, Helm charts, and secure deployment patterns while ensuring reliability and compliance for enterprise teams at multiple US

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building enterprise software in Java.
• Advanced scripting, Linux internals, and container technologies.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience with AKS and Helm.
• CI/CD pipeline design and automation expertise.
• Strong security, compliance, and observability mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support container-based platform solutions.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes capabilities and deployment patterns.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for secure, scalable deployments.
• Create Helm charts and automation tooling.
• Partner with development teams to improve onboarding and self-service.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement long-term fixes.
• Drive platform modernization and standardization.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI-assisted tooling.
