Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable container infrastructure using Kubernetes. You will help migrate core workloads to Amazon EKS and ensure zero-downtime deployments while collaborating with multiple engineering teams across the company.

The role focuses on expanding our container provisioning platforms, improving reliability, and supporting multi-region scalability from our Bellevue, WA office with in-person work expected at least 3 days per

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with Kubernetes control plane and data plane components.
• Experience deploying, debugging, and managing large-scale distributed systems or containerized platforms.
• Familiarity with AWS services and managed container environments like Amazon EKS.
• Knowledge of container networking concepts and cluster security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable container infrastructure using Kubernetes for high-throughput financial apps.
• Contribute to migrating core workloads to Amazon EKS while ensuring zero-downtime deployments.
• Optimize container lifecycle management, networking, and provisioning APIs for multi-region reliability.
• Collaborate with Robinhood engineering teams to integrate core platform capabilities like service mesh and load balancing.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement automated solutions to improve availability.
