Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for Core Infrastructure in Menlo Park, CA. You will own the architectural evolution of service mesh, compute platform, and provisioning, shaping engineering velocity and reliability across regions.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-moving, high-visibility environment. You’ll drive end-to-end architectural decisions, collaborate across teams, and contribute to a platform that powers 24/7 trading and global expansion.

Qualifications

• Senior engineering leader with track record delivering scalable infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, service meshes, and infra provisioning.
• Ability to design multi-region, reliable and observable platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own service mesh architecture end-to-end for multi-region operations.
• Drive Kubernetes compute platform evolution including cluster lifecycle and scheduling strategies.
• Redesign infrastructure provisioning to enable rapid region provisioning and developer autonomy.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across Kubernetes, etcd, Envoy xDS, and Terraform provider layers.
• Define architectural direction and produce proposals across teams.
