Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Capacity & Efficiency Engineering team in Bellevue, WA. You will design and build systems that make cloud costs transparent, predictable, and controllable, working with data science and infrastructure partners to reduce spend.

Expect high-visibility work, collaboration across teams, and opportunities to influence cost efficiency and scalability in AWS and Kubernetes environments while being onsite several days a week.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating cloud-native systems (AWS).
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and resource efficiency.
• Ability to reason about cloud cost models and tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain systems that attribute AWS costs to correct teams.
• Identify cost anomalies and inefficiencies in Kubernetes and services.
• Collaborate with Data Science to forecast costs and surface risks.
• Partner with teams to land efficiency improvements and track results.
• Analyze infrastructure usage to reduce cloud spend.
