Job summary

Robinhood's Software Platform team in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and operate scalable container infrastructure using Kubernetes, while migrating workloads to Amazon EKS for zero-downtime deployments.

You will collaborate across Robinhood's engineering teams to improve networking, security, and reliability, enabling multi-region scalability and high uptime with hybrid work expectations (3 days in-office).

Qualifications

• Experience operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Strong Kubernetes expertise and container platforms.
• Experience with AWS and EKS.
• Ability to drive projects and provide technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable container infrastructure using Kubernetes to support high-throughput financial applications.
• Contribute to the technical execution of migrating core workloads to Amazon EKS while ensuring zero-downtime deployments.
• Optimize container lifecycle management, networking infrastructure, and cluster provisioning APIs for multi-region reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across Robinhood to integrate core platform capabilities like service mesh, authentication, and load balancing.
• Identify performance bottlenecks in production environments and implement automated solutions to enhance platform availability.
