Job summary

Helen of Troy is seeking a Sr. Product Engineer (Kitchen Electrics) to join the Engineering - OXO team in New York, NY. The role focuses on evaluating designs from external firms, guiding iterations, and shepherding parts, BOMs, and manufacturing docs through quote and production stages.

You will build prototypes for coffee makers and related products, work with firmware/electronics when needed, and collaborate with global teams to optimize cost and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electro-mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• SolidWorks or Creo proficiency.
• Understanding of electrical systems and ability to troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Critique designs from design firms, including CAD reviews and feedback from factories.
• Input changes and discuss revisions with design firms.
• Aid in review process, orders, and creation of design prototypes.
• Review pre-production samples and approve production-ready designs.
• Prepare BOMs and manufacturing docs; compare quotes from vendors.
• Design testing procedures and ensure product meets performance standards.
• Develop new product concepts and build prototypes with design firms or factories.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with internal/external teams.
• Coordinate with quality and electrical compliance teams for certifications.
