Job summary

Helen of Troy is hiring for an Engineering – OXO role in New York, NY. Hybrid work with 3 days onsite. You will evaluate new products with design firms, work with manufacturers on materials and methods, and drive quality improvements across brands like OXO and Hydro Flask.

We seek a mechanical/electromechanical engineer with 2+ years of experience, CAD proficiency in Creo or SolidWorks, and travel ability to Asia. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, product, or electromechanical engineering.
• 2+ years of related professional experience.
• Proficiency with Creo or SolidWorks CAD software.
• Experience with common consumer product manufacturing methods.
• Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint proficiency.
• Ability to travel internationally to Asia (10%).
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and direct functional and technical aspects of new products with design firms.
• Collaborate with manufacturers on materials and production methods.
• Improve quality of existing products with quality teams.
• Review CAD designs and solicit feedback from manufacturers.
• Create prototype samples via external fabricators or in-house methods.
• Prepare BOMs and manufacturing questions for quotes.
• Review quotes with product managers and design firms.
• Advise on material choices, manufacturing and assembly methods, and cost.
• Review pre-production samples and ensure performance and quality testing.
• Approve products for mass production when quality is met.
