Job summary

Brixmor seeks a Senior Joint Venture Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting & Reporting team. You will oversee day‑to‑day JV accounting, maintain books, coordinate monthly closes, and prepare financial and partner reporting packages.

You will support SEC filings, debt and equity reporting, and collaborate with stakeholders across finance, asset management, treasury, tax, legal, and external auditors. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Two to three years of relevant accounting experience preferred (public accounting, real estate, joint venture, or corporate accounting).
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, consolidations, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with joint venture accounting, real estate accounting, or investment accounting preferred.
• Experience with SEC reporting requirements and public company financial reporting preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and monthly close for joint ventures, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting, including SEC filings and disclosures.
• Assist with debt and equity accounting, reporting, and compliance.
• Serve as primary accounting contact for JV partners and service providers.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly JV financial statements and partner reporting packages.
• Support consolidation process and noncontrolling interest calculations.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting and drive efficiency through automation.
