Job summary

Brixmor Property Group is seeking a Senior Joint Venture Accountant to oversee day-to-day JV accounting and monthly closes within the Corporate Accounting & Reporting team. You will coordinate reporting, assist with debt/equity compliance, and liaise with JV partners and auditors to ensure accurate, timely financial data.

The role emphasizes ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience; real estate/joint venture/corporate accounting preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and monthly close for joint ventures, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting, including SEC filings and disclosures.
• Assist with debt/equity accounting and compliance-related activities.
• Act as primary contact for joint venture partners and service providers for financial information.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly JV financial statements and related analyses.
• Contribute to consolidation processes and elimination entries.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes, and automation.
