Job summary

JobAps in Delaware is seeking a Juvenile Probation and Parole Officer Supervisor to oversee community supervision of at-risk youth, including supervising staff and coordinating with law enforcement. The role requires armed status and compliance with court-imposed conditions, with responsibilities spanning investigations, court appearances, and report preparation.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, relevant probation/parole experience, and supervisory coursework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Two years’ probation/parole experience (motivating compliance with court-imposed terms).
• Experience conducting investigations (interviews, evidence, documentation).
• Staff supervision experience preferred (lead worker role).
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise juvenile probation and parole staff and community supervision activities.
• Coordinate with law enforcement on intelligence inquiries and safety.
• Conduct investigations and interviews, review client history, report findings.
• Attend court hearings and provide testimony when required.
• Prepare and maintain case records, reports and documentation.
• Monitor compliance with probation conditions through visits and monitoring methods.
• Provide referrals to resources and ensure services are followed.
