Job summary

The State of Delaware Department of Correction is seeking a Probation and Parole Supervisor. You will oversee field supervision, hearings, reports, and coordination with community resources to ensure compliance with probation terms.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or higher and at least three years of probation/parole experience, be able to conduct investigations, provide testimony, and supervise staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher is required.
• 3 years probation/parole experience including enforcing terms.
• 3 years experience in investigations with interviewing and evidence gathering.
• 3 years experience in providing testimony before boards, commissions, or courts.
• 3 years experience in case management.
• 3 years experience in interpreting laws, rules, and procedures.
• 6 months experience in narrative report writing.

Responsibilities

• Interview offenders to obtain histories and assess risk and needs.
• Determine approaches to offender problems based on stability and resources.
• Develop and implement case supervision/treatment plans.
• Monitor offender activity to ensure probation/parole compliance.
• Investigate violations and assist law enforcement as needed.
• Attend hearings and present progress reports.
