Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Algorithms Senior Systems Engineer for the JPALS program. The role involves modeling and testing GPS navigation algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink, documenting equations, and performing data analysis.

You will contribute to model-based development and lab work on target products. The candidate should have a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience (or an advanced degree with 3+ years), and be able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in STEM; 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience in MATLAB and Simulink, MATLAB scripting, and data analysis.
• Understanding of algorithms, mathematical expressions, and system-level analyses.

Responsibilities

• Test algorithms and models for the JPALS program.
• Develop tools to enable thorough testing.
• Work on multiple tasks in a software development environment.
• Conduct analysis for system troubleshooting and data analysis.
• Perform code reviews and promote good software practices.
• Travel up to 10% for field work.
