Job summary

Crescent Energy seeks an experienced Lead Joint Venture Auditor to join our Houston-based Accounting organization. You will plan and conduct audits across Crescent's asset portfolio, serving as the primary liaison for partner and operator audits and ensuring compliance with JOAs and COPAS procedures.

The role requires 5+ years in upstream oil & gas accounting, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and proficiency in Excel. CPA/APA/CIA preferred. Hybrid or onsite options available in Houston.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of upstream oil & gas accounting, joint venture accounting, or audit experience.
• Experience leading COPAS audits and revenue audits is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct audits of non-operated joint ventures, including planning and reporting.
• Host partner audits of Crescent-operated properties and coordinate with external auditors.
• Review JIBs, revenue distributions, overheads, capex, and expenses for compliance.
• Prepare workpapers, exception summaries, and support management review.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve audit-related matters.
• Lead settlement discussions and support integration activities as needed.
