Job summary

Crescent Energy is seeking an experienced Joint Venture Auditor II to join our Houston-based Accounting organization. The role conducts joint venture audits across Crescent's asset portfolio and supports partner and operator audits to ensure compliance with JOAs, COPAS procedures, and related contractual obligations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in upstream oil and gas accounting or audit, with strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency, and will work with multi-disciplinary teams to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of upstream oil and gas accounting, joint venture or audit experience.
• Working knowledge of JOAs, COPAS procedures, and oil & gas accounting practices.
• Experience with joint interest billing reviews and revenue accounting.

Responsibilities

• Audit non-operated joint ventures, including testing and reporting.
• Support partner audits of Crescent-operated properties.
• Review JIBs, revenue distributions, overhead charges, and operating expenses for COPAS compliance.
• Prepare audit workpapers, reports, and exception summaries for management review.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve audit findings.
