Job summary

Crescent Energy seeks an experienced Lead Joint Venture Auditor to join its Houston-based Accounting organization. This role plans, coordinates, conducts, and supports joint venture audits across Crescent's asset portfolio, serving as the primary liaison for partner and operator audits to ensure JOAs, COPAS procedures, revenue distributions, and other contractual obligations are met.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of upstream oil and gas accounting and audit experience, including COPAS audits,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 5+ years upstream oil and gas accounting experience.
Demonstrated COPAS, JIB, and revenue audit expertise; strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Experience hosting audits and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and conduct audits of joint ventures, including planning, testing, reporting, and settlements.
Host partner audits of Crescent-operated properties and coordinate with external auditors.
Review JIBs, revenue distributions, expenses for JOAs/COPAS compliance; identify exceptions.
Prepare workpapers, summaries, and management-ready documentation; drive issue resolution.
Support acquisition, divestiture, and integration reviews through audit diligence.
