Job summary

Cayuse Holdings seeks a senior Jira Developer to design, build, and maintain custom Jira/JSM functionality using Groovy and Java. You will implement REST API integrations and optimize workflows across Jira Data Center and Jira Cloud, driving scalable automation and data transformations.

The role demands deep ITSM knowledge, strong SQL/JQL skills, and the ability to deliver robust solutions with clear documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in IT/CS or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of Jira development, scripting, and integration.
• Proficiency in Groovy (ScriptRunner) and Java.
• Hands-on REST API development and JSON data handling.
• Deep knowledge of Jira workflows, ITSM, and Jira configuration.
• Experience with Jira Data Center and Jira Cloud migrations.
• Advanced JQL skills for scripted logic.
• SQL query writing and optimization for reporting and analysis.
• Ability to build reusable object models and automation rules.
• Strong debugging skills for complex scripts and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Jira/JSM functionality using Groovy and Java.
• Build automation scripts, post-functions, listeners, validators, and conditions.
• Design and manage REST API integrations with external systems.
• Configure Jira workflows, field configurations, and context management.
• Write optimized JQL queries for complex scripted searches.
• Work with Jira Assets/Insight to model objects and automate ITSM processes.
