Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Jira Administrator to join a rapidly growing technology organization in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. The role can be fully remote or hybrid with 2 days onsite in Raleigh, NC.

The Jira Administrator will be responsible for the administration, architecture, governance, and optimization of the Atlassian ecosystem, with a strong focus on backend Jira configuration, workflow development, system integrations, and platform scalability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Jira administration in enterprise environments.
• Expertise in Jira backend configuration, workflows, and governance.
• Experience with Jira integrations, REST APIs, and ScriptRunner.
• Knowledge of Agile/ITSM frameworks and cross-team support.
• Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence for stability and scalability.
• Design and manage complex workflows, permissions, screens, and configurations.
• Develop Jira automations, integrations, and scripting solutions using ScriptRunner and REST APIs.
• Oversee user provisioning, security controls, governance, and auditing.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to optimize platform and support Agile operations.
