Piper Companies is seeking a Jira Administrator to join a rapidly growing technology organization in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. The role can be fully remote or hybrid with 2 days onsite in Raleigh, NC.

The Jira Administrator will be responsible for the administration, architecture, governance, and optimization of the Atlassian ecosystem, with a strong focus on backend Jira configuration, workflow development, system integrations, and platform scalability.

Piper Companies is seeking a Jira Administrator for a rapidly growing technology organization in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. The Jira Administrator role can be fully remote or work a hybrid schedule with 2 days onsite in Raleigh, NC. The Jira Administrator will be responsible for the administration, architecture, governance, and optimization of the Atlassian ecosystem, with a strong focus on backend Jira configuration, workflow development, system integrations, and platform scalability. An ideal candidate for the Jira Administrator role is an experienced Atlassian professional with expertise in Jira system administration, automation, scripting, and enterprise platform management.

Responsibilities of the Jira Administrator:

• Administer and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence, ensuring platform stability, performance, and scalability.
• Design and manage complex workflows, permission schemes, issue types, custom fields, screens, and system configurations to support enterprise business processes.
• Develop and maintain Jira automations, integrations, and scripting solutions using tools such as ScriptRunner, REST APIs, and Atlassian Automation.
• Oversee user provisioning, security controls, governance standards, and system auditing across the Atlassian environment.
• Partner with development, infrastructure, and business teams to optimize platform functionality and support large-scale Agile operations.

Qualifications of the Jira Administrator:

• 4+ years of Jira Administration experience supporting enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong expertise in Jira backend configuration, workflow architecture, permission schemes, automation rules, and system governance.
• Experience with Jira integrations, REST APIs, ScriptRunner, Atlassian marketplace applications, and data migrations.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and ITSM frameworks, with experience supporting technical and operational teams.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Compensation for the Jira Administrator includes:

• Salary range: $110,000 - $135,000 depending on experience
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, Sick Leave as required by law
