Job summary

Syntax is seeking a Principal Solution Architect, JD Edwards, to lead pre- and post-sales technical architecture for cloud-based JDE solutions. You will architect JDE on AWS, Azure, and OCI, driving security, DR, and governance in multi-cloud environments.

The role emphasizes deep JDE technical architecture, enterprise cloud fundamentals, and collaboration with global teams to deliver enterprise-scale JD Edwards solutions.

Qualifications

• 15–25 years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture.
• Deep JD Edwards architecture and deployment patterns.
• Experience with multi-cloud JD Edwards deployments on hyperscalers.
• Strong written and verbal communication, client-facing skills.
• Ability to lead across global teams in a matrix environment.
• Knowledge of security, DR, and cloud governance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a pre-sales technical subject matter expert for JDE cloud architecture engagements.
• Architect JDE on AWS, Azure, and OCI, including compute, network, storage, identity, and monitoring.
• Design solutions for performance, scalability, availability, and resilience.
• Lead security-by-design architecture with identity integration and encryption.
• Define and validate disaster recovery strategies, including backup/restore and RPO/RTO.
• Advise on cloud governance, landing zones, cost management, and lifecycle controls.
• Provide post-sales architecture support for large engagements.
• Collaborate with functional architects to align with broader requirements.
• Act as trusted advisor to customers, technical leaders, and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to architecture collateral and market-facing content.
