Syntax is a leading Managed Cloud Provider for Mission Critical Enterprise Applications, delivering JD Edwards on AWS, Azure, and OCI. The Principal Solution Architect will lead pre- and post-sales technical architecture, collaborating with the Syntax Cloud Center of Excellence to design cloud-based JD Edwards solutions.

Qualifications

• 15–25 years of experience in solution architecture or related leadership roles.
• Strong JD Edwards architecture and deployment experience.
• Experience architecting JDE on hyperscalers including AWS, Azure and OCI.
• Solid understanding of enterprise cloud fundamentals (network, identity, storage, compute).
• Experience with security architecture for enterprise platforms.
• Experience leading migration and modernization programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, global environment.
• Hands-on mindset with technical depth when required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as pre-sales SME for JDE cloud architecture engagements.
• Architect JDE on AWS, Azure, and OCI with compute, network, storage and monitoring considerations.
• Design solutions for performance, scalability, availability, and resilience.
• Lead security-by-design architecture including identity, encryption, and access controls.
• Define and validate disaster recovery strategies (backup/restore, RPO/RTO).
• Advise on cloud governance, landing zone patterns, and cost management.
• Provide post-sales architecture support for large engagements.
• Collaborate with other architects to ensure alignment with broader requirements.
• Act as trusted advisor to customers, sales, delivery and product teams.
• Contribute to architecture collateral and market-facing content.
