Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a hands-on Lead Java Software Development Engineer to join the Aetna Technology organization. You will guide a team of engineers onsite and offshore, drive design discussions with architects, and ensure high-quality code through testing and reviews.

You will contribute to end-to-end development and deployment of clinical workflows and integrations with major EHR systems, using Spring Boot, GCP, and modern cloud-native practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in software development lifecycle including ideation, coding, coding standards, testing, code reviews and production deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and work with a team of engineers onsite and offshore to deliver multiple use cases and products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to make design decisions, ensure performance optimization, and maintain code quality through testing, debugging, and reviews.
• Responsible for end-to-end application development & delivery, including production deployment, operationalization, and observability of services that support clinical workflows and integrations with major EHR systems.
• Develop applications/web services and cloud native apps using Spring Boot, GCP, REST API and other tech stacks.
• Unit testing using frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito
