Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a hands‑on Lead Java Software Development Engineer to transform digital pharmacy and health care experiences. You will lead a team, drive end‑to‑end product development, and collaborate with cross‑functional groups including clinical product and EHR integrations.

As part of the Aetna Technology organization, you will build cloud‑native applications, emphasize performance, testing, and security, and participate in Agile ceremonies to deliver high‑quality software.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software development lifecycle.
• 7+ years with modern software development practices.
• 7+ years of Java, Spring, Junit, APIs (Spring Boot, Microservices).
• 3+ years supporting health care clinical applications.
• Experience with Kubernetes, SOAP, IntelliJ and DevOps: Git, Jenkins, Github Actions.
• 3+ years deploying and managing applications in cloud environments (prefer Google Cloud).
• 3+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• 3+ years in large-scale applications with large data/transaction volume.
• 2+ years creating/managing GCP storage Buckets, Data Composer workflow, Dataflow jobs, IAM (Service Account/Roles) Management.
• 2+ years in ETL, data quality checks, database management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and execute tasks within deadlines.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers onsite and offshore.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical product, interoperability, and EHR integration.
• End-to-end development and production deployment of services for clinical workflows and integrations with major EHR systems.
• Develop apps and cloud-native services using Spring Boot, GCP, REST APIs.
• Unit test using JUnit, Mockito.
• Build/deploy services via GitHub, CircleCI, Harness in CI/CD on GCP/Azure/AWS.
• Monitor app health and KPIs; triage production issues.
• Advocate for security best practices.
• Partner with Product owners to meet requirements.
• Participate in PI planning and Agile ceremonies.
