Job summary

FIS is seeking a Software Engineer in Milwaukee to design, develop and maintain core fintech applications. You will build RESTful services, work with Java/J2EE, and integrate with banking systems in an Agile environment.

Collaborating with product managers, clients and cross-functional teams, you will define requirements, participate in design reviews and drive quality through the SDLC. A Bachelor's in CS/CE or related discipline and 5+ years of Java/J2EE experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in computer engineering, computer science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience with JAVA/J2EE, Struts or Spring, Hibernate, EJB, Oracle, REST API, Docker, Maven, Git.
• Banking/Payments domain experience is required or preferred.
• Experience with end-to-end systems development life cycles and standards.
• Knowledge of financial industry practices, regulations and operations.
• Fluency in sequence diagrams, class models, etc.
• Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Designing, programming, debugging and modifying software enhancements.
• Interacting with product managers and users to define requirements and modifications.
• Participating in software design meetings to determine technical requirements.
• Working with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams.
