Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong AWS expertise to support enterprise application development for IBM/Barclays. The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of hands‑on software development experience, with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, AWS cloud services, and distributed systems.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable, secure, and high-performance applications within a large enterprise banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.
• Develop scalable Microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Build and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS.

• Good understanding of Agile/SDLC methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Capital Markets.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments such as Barclays or other major financial institutions.
• Knowledge of AWS IAM, security, networking, monitoring, and logging.
• Experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of Redis/ElastiCache or other caching technologies.
• Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, CloudWatch, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
• AWS certification such as AWS Certified Developer or AWS Solutions Architect is a plus.
