Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking an experienced Backend Java Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable, cloud-native applications using Java and Spring Boot. The role focuses on microservices, RESTful APIs, and AWS-informed deployment in an Agile environment.

You will collaborate across engineering teams to modernize enterprise applications, implement IaC with Terraform, and ensure high-quality code with CI/CD and Docker/Kubernetes for containerization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Java development.
• 4+ years of experience with Spring Boot.
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, S3).
• Experience deploying applications in AWS environments.
• Experience with Terraform for IaC.
• Experience working with OpenShift.
• Experience with Apache Kafka.
• Experience developing Node.js and TypeScript microservices.
• Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
