Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing mission-critical, high-volume transactional applications in hybrid cloud and on-prem environments.
• Extensive experience with Java application development and Spring Boot/Spring MVC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Java-based applications and AWS cloud services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, architects, developers, and QA to deliver scalable solutions.
• Create technical design documents, architectural diagrams, and sequence/workflow diagrams.
• Analyze dependencies to determine optimal implementation approaches.
• Evaluate alternatives with cost-benefit analysis for productivity and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, business analysts, architects, developers, and QA teams to deliver scalable software solutions.
• Create technical design documents, architectural diagrams, workflow diagrams, and sequence diagrams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing mission-critical, high-volume transactional applications in hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
• Extensive experience with Java application development.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or related Java frameworks.
• Experience using Java IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse.
• Strong experience with Apache Maven.
• Extensive experience using Git for source control.
• Experience developing and integrating REST and SOAP web services.
• Strong experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or MySQL.
• Experience with AWS services including SQS, SNS, Lambda, and related cloud components.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end software design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Experience working within Agile Scrum development environments.
• Strong application performance tuning and optimization skills.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for resolving defects, blockers, and technical issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within distributed retail industries such as automotive, hospitality, or banking.
