Job summary

AI AXISS INC is seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong AWS expertise to support enterprise application development for IBM/Barclays in a large banking environment. The candidate will design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure applications and contribute to a high-performance enterprise stack.

The role emphasizes Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, AWS services, and distributed systems, with focus on CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of hands-on Java application development experience.
• Strong Java 8/11/17+ capabilities.
• Experience building Microservices and REST APIs.
• Extensive AWS cloud services experience.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Solid SQL with Oracle/PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• Docker and Kubernetes/EKS experience.
• CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of design patterns and distributed systems.
• Experience with Agile/SDLC methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.
• Develop scalable Microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Build and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Work with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation.
• Develop event-driven and distributed applications using Kafka or similar messaging technologies.
• Implement application security, authentication, authorization, and secure API development practices.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
• Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Perform application performance tuning, troubleshooting, debugging, and production support.
• Write efficient, reusable, testable, and maintainable code following enterprise coding standards.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development and security standards.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers.
• Work within Agile/Scrum development teams and participate in sprint planning, grooming, demos, and retrospectives.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when required.
