Job summary

Ethereum Technologies is seeking a seasoned Java Application Support Engineer to provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise Java applications. You will monitor health, troubleshoot incidents, perform RCA, and support releases to ensure high availability and performance.

The role requires strong Java expertise, incident management, and collaboration with Development, Infrastructure, DBA, Cloud, and Business teams.

Qualifications

• Experience providing L2/L3 production support for Java-based enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL Incident/Problem/Change processes.
• Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy.
• Ability to manage and coordinate P1/P2 Major Incidents.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for Java-based enterprise applications and APIs.
• Monitor application performance, availability, and system health using observability and monitoring tools.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents, service disruptions, and performance issues within SLA timelines.
• Analyze application logs, thread dumps, heap dumps, and system metrics to diagnose complex issues.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents.
• Support application deployments, releases, environment management, and post-release validation activities.
• Troubleshoot REST APIs, microservices, middleware integrations, and batch processing failures.
• Execute SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and issue investigation.
• Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, DBA, Cloud, and Business teams for incident resolution.
• Participate in on-call support rotation for critical production issues.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Maintain support documentation, knowledge articles, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Support change management, problem management, and incident management processes following ITIL best practices.
