Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for Working Capital Finance in Charlotte. You will design, develop, test, and support critical financial applications using Java microservices, Spring Boot, and Postgres, while leveraging Kafka and modern cloud-native patterns.

You will independently address business needs, ensure security and compliance, and mentor teams on best practices. A strong background in cloud platforms and CI/CD is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
6–8 years of relevant experience.
Hands-on Java 17+ development experience.
Strong Spring Boot, Spring Framework, REST APIs, security.
Experience with Kafka, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
Microservices in public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
CI/CD tooling (Jenkins/CloudBees, etc.).
RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, DB2) and SQL optimization.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and support Critical Working Capital Finance apps.
Act independently to respond to business needs and deadlines.
Debug complex production issues and ensure secure, compliant deployment.
Build and deploy microservices in cloud environments.
Collaborate on API development and integration patterns.
