Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Java/Kotlin to join our Patching team, focusing on backend systems that power patch management across millions of endpoints. You will build scalable services in Java and Kotlin and collaborate with AI workflow, server, and platform teams to extend patching capabilities.

The role offers flexible remote work within the USA with hybrid options at offices in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of Java software development experience.
• 5+ years building highly scalable software systems.
• Experience with REST services and API best practices.
• Knowledge of caching and data structures for scale.
• Strong OOP design and testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java/Kotlin backend services for patch management at scale.
• Contribute to design patterns and enterprise-level software challenges.
