Job summary

RBC Capital Markets, LLC is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join the Credit eTrading team in Jersey City. The role emphasizes server‑side development and low latency data systems for Global Spread Products.

You will build scalable data platforms, deploy standardized eTrading workflows, and collaborate with business teams to ensure new products are adopted and scaled across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience
• Minimum of 10 years' hands‑on Java and J2EE/JEE server‑side development
• Proven track record translating complex business problems into robust data products
• Multithreading experience is mandatory for concurrent processing
• Experience with low latency optimization for high‑frequency trading systems
• Ability to work with business and technical partners and manage competing priorities

Responsibilities

• Join Global Spread Products within Credit eTrading to build and maintain low-latency trading systems
• Develop scalable data platforms powering analytics and AI tools across trading and banking divisions
• Create standardized eTrading workflows, deployment standards, and reproducible training methods
• Deliver performance‑critical server‑side trading systems to sustain competitive advantage
• Collaborate with business teams to understand needs and drive adoption and scale of new products
• Partner with leadership to identify bottlenecks and prioritize platform improvements
