Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong Java and Spring Boot expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable, enterprise-grade software solutions. You will work on RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems within an Agile team, delivering secure, observable, and reliable applications.

You will participate in CI/CD, DevSecOps practices, and code reviews while collaborating with cross-functional groups to modernize platforms and improve customer experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and RESTful API development.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, design patterns, and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and support RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the Agile Software Development Lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and product enhancements.
• Conduct code reviews and provide guidance on engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Support CI/CD processes and DevOps practices to improve delivery efficiency.
• Contribute to software reliability, performance optimization, and operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement across applications and processes.
