Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a seasoned software engineer to contribute across the full software lifecycle. You will design, develop, test, operate and maintain complex products, taking full stack ownership to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable systems.

You will participate in code reviews and ensure compliance and security best practices throughout development. Experience with Node, NPM, React, Java/Spring Boot, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Six to eight years of relevant software development experience.
• Hands-on development with Node, NPM and React frontend stack.
• Proven ability to implement user interfaces against REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience in Microservices/API development using Java/Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products.
• Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code.
• Designs with scalability, reliability and performance in mind when defining technical designs.
• Performs analysis on failures, proposes design changes and drives operational improvements.
• Ensures compliance and security best practices are followed across product development.
• Reviews tasks to prioritize and size for incremental delivery and communicates blockers.
