NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build Java and Kotlin services for our IT Operations product suite, ensuring reliability at scale. You’ll create high-quality software for millions of endpoints and servers, with production-grade performance and observability in mind.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of Java software development experience; strong Kotlin preferred.
• 4+ years of experience with highly scalable software systems.
• Experience diagnosing and improving reliability, performance, and scalability in production.
• Strong OO design skills and API REST development (Jersey/Spring).
• Relational database design and development; identify data access bottlenecks.
• Experience with asynchronous application design and client-server communication.
• Experience troubleshooting production systems and incident response.
• Strong testing practices for production-dependable software.
• Redis caching experience is a plus; Python is a plus.

• Build and improve Java and Kotlin services at large scale.
• Own reliability in production; investigate performance and availability issues and implement improvements.
• Improve scalability by identifying bottlenecks in code, data access, and service interactions.
• Enhance operability by increasing system visibility and health monitoring.
• Contribute to design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production troubleshooting across the full service life.
• Perform other duties as needed.
