Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and operate high-throughput Java services in a security-sensitive, cloud-native environment.

You will own REST APIs, implement OIDC/OAuth2 and SAML, and apply AI-assisted development practices to accelerate delivery. Hybrid in Austin, Westlake and Denver with a preference in that order; collaborate with platform, security, SRE, and product teams to ensure reliability, performance, and scalable deployments

Qualifications

• 6+ years of production-grade Java service experience.
• 6+ years API development experience (RESTful).
• GCP or equivalent cloud deployment experience.
• 2+ years with access management protocols: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML2.0.
• Proven experience with high-SLA, high-throughput systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Experience with observability (metrics, logs, traces) and production troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java services supporting REST-based APIs with security focus.
• Build cloud-native, horizontally scalable services on GCP or other clouds.
• Develop and secure APIs using OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SAML-based authentication flows.
• Implement API-first designs with backward compatibility and clear contracts.
• Participate in production support, incident response, RCA, and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with platform, security, SRE, and product teams on end-to-end solutions.
